Apple Spiker

Cinnamon and clove spiced apple cider is "spiced up" with Captain Morgan spiced rum for a deliciously warming beverage.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 5 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp raw sugar
  • 1 liter Captain Morgan spiced rum
  • Additional cinnamon sticks for garnish

Method

Pour honey on one plate. On another plate, mix ground cinnamon and raw sugar. Dip rim of a glass mug in honey then in sugar mix. Garnish with additional cinnamon sticks. Mix all ingredients except rum. Warm on stovetop, but do not boil. Add rum and ladle into mugs.

 

Notes: Can be served without rum for a non-alcoholic beverage.
