Bursting with Berries Almond Smoothie

Fresh fruit smoothie that incorporates almonds, berries and yogurt for a healthy and tasty pick me up for any time of the day.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup raspberries
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup halved hulled strawberries
- 1 cup lemon flavored yogurt
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup crushed ice

Method
In a small skillet over medium-low heat toast the almonds by shaking skillet often until nuts are golden all over about 3 minutes. Spread on a small plate to cool. When almonds have cooled add to a blender along with the remaining ingredients; puree until smooth then pour into 2 tall glasses.
Notes: Toasting the almonds brings out a nutty flavor to this smoothie.
