Carrot Shake

Carrots and milk with a little cardamon--shaken up to make a delicious cold drink.
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup baby carrots
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp cardamon powder

Method

Chop the carrots finely (by hand or in a food processor.) Cook the milk and the chopped carrots for 30 minutes on a medium heat. With an electric hand blender, blend the milk and carrots. Add cardamon powder and mix well. Cool it in the refrigerator for 6 hours and serve it.

 

Notes: Carrots and milk may be cooked in a pressure cooker. May be stored in the refrigerator for up to two days. Look for cardamon in the spice aisle. A traditional blender will also work.
