Fresh Choco-mint Smoothie

Chocolate milk and mint chocolate chip ice cream automatically makes this smoothie a dessert. With bananas and cherries, yummy.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups low fat chocolate milk (depending on how thick you prefer the smoothie)
  • 1 cup frozen cherries
  • 2 large ripe bananas, peeled and broken into chunks
  • 1 cup mint-chocolate chip ice cream

Method

Process all the ingredients in the blender until smooth, about 30 seconds. Do not thaw the cherries so that the smoothie will be cool. Pour into glasses and serve. A quarter cup of crushed ice can be added for a colder smoothie. For a chunkier smoothie, chunks of banana can be added into the smoothie when serving.

 

Notes: This smoothie is a real hit with kids and refreshing on a hot summer day.
