Fresh Lemonade Syrup

Homemade lemonade concentrate that can stored and mixed later with water for a summertime treat on a hot day.
Ingredients
- 3c. sugar
- 1c. boiling water
- 3c. lemon juice
- 2 tbs. grated lemon peel

Method
In a 1 1/2 quart heat proof container, dissolve sugar in boiling water. Cool. Add lemon juice & peel. Mix well. Cover & store in refrigerator for up to 1 week. To prepare lemonade: combine 2 2/3 c. syrup and 5c. cold water in 2 quart pitcher; mix well.
