Fruity Champagne Punch

Strawberries and pineapple juice concentrate combine to add the fruity flavor to this wine punch.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 2 C White Zinfandel Wine
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 6oz can frozen pineapple juice conc.
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 chilled bottled champagne
  • 1 chilled liter lemon/lime soda, optional

Method

Wash & hull strawberrries & chop coursely; combine with wine, sugar and pineapple juice concentrate. Grate lemon rind and squeeze out all juice and add to wine mixture along with lemon rind. Cover and refrigerate over night. Strain liquid and discard pulp. Pour into a large punch bowl, add bottle of champagne and soda if desired (the soda doesn't change the taste much but it will increase the number of people the punch serves as well as delutes the alcohol level of the punch). Serve chilled or over ice.
