Lemon Scented Basil Bloody Mary

A sophisticated Bloody Mary with extra flavor from lemon and basil pesto.Ingredients
- 1 (46 oz) can 100% vegetable juice (like V-8)
- 1/4 cup prepared pesto sauce
- 1 Tablespoon worchestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon Tobasco sauce, to taste
- 1 Tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 1 1/2 cups vodka (optional)
- Lemon wedges for garnish

Method
Stir all ingredients together in a 2 quart pitcher. Pour into tall glasses over ice and garnish each with a lemon wedge.
Notes: This Bloody Mary has a hint of lemon & richness from the basil pesto. White pepper adds a smokey essence. It can be made with or without alcohol.
