Pineapple Sake-tini

Cubes of fresh pineapple are combined with Japanese "sake" or rice wine. The liquid is shaken with ice and served in a martini glass.
 

Ingredients

  • Fresh pineapple
  • Unflavored sake (rice wine)
  • Ice

Method

Cut pineapple into cubes; combine with the sake in a jar with a tight lid. Let stand 5 to 6 hours. Pour liquid into a shaker with ice. Shake 5 times; pour into martini glass; garnish with pineapple.

 

Notes: The longer the pineapple stays in sake, the more flavor it will infuse.
