Red Citrus Sangria

Lemon and orange juices & slices, and slices of apple are added to dry red wine and orange liqueur. Glasses are filled with mix and topped with 7-Up.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 orange
  • 1 red apple, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 750 ml bottle dry red wine, chilled
  • 1/2 cup Grand Marnier (orange liqueur)
  • 1 or 2 cans of lemon-lime soda pop(Sprite or 7 Up)

Method

Thinly slice 1/2 of the lemon and 1/2 of the orange. Add sliced fruit to a large pitcher. Juice the other halves of the lemon and orange and add the juices to the pitcher. Then add the apple, along with the wine, and Grand Marnier. Stir. Chill. To serve: Fill a tall glass 3/4ths-full with sangria and ice. Top off the glass with lemon-lime soda. Garnish with pieces of fruit from the pitcher.
