Ruby Starlet

This tasty mixed drink is great for summer or the holidays. The grapefruit sugared rim adds a tasty flair and the fresh juice really adds a kick.
Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp ruby red grapefruit zest reserve grapefruit pulp for rimming cocktail glasses
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 6 oz vodka
- 4 oz fresh squeezed ruby red grapefruit juice
- 4 tsp powdered sugar

Method
In a shallow bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar with grapefruit zest and mix well. Rub rim of each glass with grapefruit, coating both inside and out. Gently press rim into sugar and zest to frost. Combine remaining ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into prepared glasses.
