Spiced Rum Cider

Hot apple cider with a little butter, a little rum, and a cinnamon swizzle stick.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 tsp light-brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 4 Tbsp light rum
  • 2 cinnamon sticks, about 4 inches long

Method

Add cider, brown sugar, and butter to a saucepan. Heat but do not boil. Pour 2 tbsp rum into 2 tea cups. Fill with hot cider mixture. Stir with a stick of cinnamon, one stick for each cup.

 

Notes: When the kids are in, the party's over, the costumes are in the laundry, and the make-up is removed: This one's for you! Happy Halloween!
